Sioux City Rotary Club Literacy and Vocation Project

Sioux City Rotary Club will donate up to $1,000 to the Sioux City Public Library and then the children’s librarian will select a book each week that is somehow associated with our speaker’s topic or profession.  A special bookplate will be put in the front of the book, saying it is a donation from the Rotary Club on behalf of our speaker. For example, a children’s book about Haiti would have a bookplate that says something like “Donated by the Downtown Sioux City Rotary Club in honor of our speaker, Joe Twidwell”….or a book about building streets would say “in honor of our speaker, Chris Payer.”
